Dillsboro Lights & Luminaries Festival
December 4–5 and December 11–12, 2026
Step back in time during the first two weekends of December. The historic artisan village of Dillsboro transforms into a winter wonderland illuminated by 2,500 candles and twinkling white lights. The Vibe: A quaint, Hallmark-style Christmas. Festivities: Carolers, horse and buggy rides, live music, late night holiday shopping, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Cost: Free admission!
Sylva Christmas
Nestled just three miles from Dillsboro, Sylva offers a picturesque downtown holiday experience.
Annual Tree Lighting (Friday, Dec. 4): Gather at the fountain at the foot of the historic courthouse steps for live holiday concerts and the official lighting of the Main Street tree.
Sylva Christmas Parade (Sunday, Dec. 6): A beloved afternoon tradition featuring festive floats, local marching bands, and plenty of holiday cheer rolling right down Main Street.
Sylva Shop & Stroll (Saturdays, Nov. 28, Dec. 5, 12, and 19) Support local downtown family businesses and shop for unique gifts starting on Small Business Saturday. Enjoy window displays, carolers, a selfie station at Fusion's Spa patio, and visits from Santa PAWS. (FREE)
