Description
Andrew Finn Magill is an American musician and composer. His primary instrument is the violin, and he is associated with traditional Irish, Celtic, bluegrass, old-time, jazz, and choro.
Magill grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, where his father directs the Swannanoa Gathering folk arts workshops at Warren Wilson College. He attended the University of North Carolina for his undergraduate degree. In 2009, Magill was awarded a Fulbright-mtvU fellowship by the U.S. State Department to produce an album about AIDS with Malawi musician Peter Mawanga.
