Description
The purpose of this course is to promote workplace safety and health and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. To provide students with information and skills necessary to work safely in the construction industry, this course will give students insight into the various OSHA Standards related to construction by examining each standard closely. A secondary goal of this course is to learn the role of the competent person for the various construction safety standards.
The OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Training Program is a safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. This course provides workers with some safety responsibility at a greater depth and variety of training. Training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a construction site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 4-6 weeks.
