Description
The Super 60s Band will make their first visit to Sylva to perform your favorite hits from the 1960s era at Concerts on the Creek on Friday, July 13 from 7-9 p.m.
The Super 60s Band is a musical retrospective of one of America's most turbulent periods. The joy and celebration of Woodstock, the enigma of Vietnam, the tragic loss of the Kennedys, and man landing on the moon. A period of time in which so much was happening, so fast, that those who lived through it sometimes wonder how they made it. But they did-- and here's proof.... music that will bring back the feeling and memories of those days.
The Super 60s Band is a unique presentation in that strives to re-create the atmosphere of the 60's through not only the music, but through audio and visual techniques that were relevant in that period.
So turn on a lava lamp, light some incense, throw on your bell bottoms, slip on your tie-dye shirt and take a trip with The Super 60s Band.
Concerts on the Creek are held every Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 7-9 p.m., at the Bridge Park gazebo stage in Sylva. The Town of Sylva, Jackson County Parks and Recreation and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce team up to produce the Concerts on the Creek series.
These events are free and open to the public with donations encouraged. Please bring a chair or blanket. Food trucks will be at most of this year's events.
Concerts on the Creek is a Blue Ridge Music Trail partner.
