Booth Location: University Center, 2nd floor
Come by our booth and learn about World Hijab Day, celebrated annually on February 1st in recognition of millions of Muslim women who choose to wear the hijab, and live a life of modesty. The purpose of this movement is to foster religious tolerance and understanding by inviting people to experience the hijab for one day. By opening up new pathways to understanding, participants in World Hijab Day hope to counteract some of the controversies surrounding why Muslim women choose to wear the hijab.
