Marilynne Robinson is a renowned American novelist and essayist. She has received numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2005, the 2012 National Humanities Medal, and the 2016 Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction. About the Spring Literary Festival (March 21-28): We seek to support a love of reading in Western North Carolina while providing exposure to new literary voices. Our area has a rich literary heritage all its own and this festival strives to secure that heritage's place on the nation's literary stage by bringing local and national writers together.
