In the interest of decolonial justice, how do we “translate experiences” between descendants of victims and perpetrators of colonialism? In a set of critical meditations that blend story and philosophy, Dr. Sol Neely will describe the starting points for an Indigenous phenomenology uniquely suited to this task.
Dr. Sol Neely is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and an Associate Professor of Humanities at the University of Alaska Southeast. His research and teaching take shape at the intersection of Continental Philosophy, Literary Theory, and Critical Indigenous Studies in order to address historical violence, transgenerational trauma, memory, and decolonial justice.
