Kirstin Squint lecture
Description
In her talk, Dr. Kirstin Squint will discuss the field of Native southern literature as well as her research on the award-winning Choctaw writer, LeAnne Howe. She will also complicate prevailing models of the "Native South," by discussing her concept of the "Interstate South," in which Indigenous peoples travel physically and metaphorically between tribal national and U.S boundaries.
