Join New York Times Notable author and GQ Correspondent Doug Bock Clark in conversation with National Magazine Award finalist and New York Magazine Contributing Writer Kerry Howley on September 17 at 7:00. Clark and Howley will discuss their immersive nonfiction books. Clark’s The Last Whalers follows a whaling tribe confronted with an encroaching modern world in remote Indonesia and Howley’s Thrown digs into hard-knock world of MMA fighting across the Americas. They will also share notes and stories about their award-winning long-form journalism, which spans the globe, covering refugees from North Korea, Manny Pacquaio’s political life, COVID-19 aboard a cruise ship, and much more.
