Description
The Robertson Boys will return to Sylva to perform bluegrass at Concerts on the Creek on Friday, June 15 from 7-9 p.m.
The Robertson Boys is a family-based band that plays an eclectic mix of traditional bluegrass along with renditions of bluegrass infused popular music. Making up the band is: Rick Robertson on guitar and vocals, Jack Robertson on banjo, guitar and vocals, David Robertson on mandolin and vocals, Don Cruthis on guitar, bass and vocals, Philip Swing on bass, guitar and vocals and Ashlyn Nelson on Fiddle and vocals.
The Robertson Boys recently released their band-produced album titled “Going Home” featuring the first original songs written by the band.
The Robertson Boys also released their first “Live Album” last November entitled “Live at Mt. Gilead Music Barn." The band released an all gospel album along with another ” Live” album that in the summer of 2017.
Concerts on the Creek are held every Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 7-9 p.m., at the Bridge Park gazebo stage in Sylva. The Town of Sylva, Jackson County Parks and Recreation and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce team up to produce the Concerts on the Creek series.
These events are free and open to the public with donations encouraged. Please bring a chair or blanket. Food trucks will be at most of this year's events.
Concerts on the Creek is a Blue Ridge Music Trail partner.
