The Blue Ridge Parkway provides access to Asheville in spectacular fashion -- along some of the highest and remote peaks in the Eastern U.S.

The Parkway is accessible in or near Jackson County at Cherokee, Soco Gap, Balsam Gap and by N.C. 215 Northeast of Cashiers. If you travel the Parkway to Asheville, plan for a couple of extra hours on the road.
